Retro Rationalization

The new Build of the Work space is moving along nicely. I have ordered some Acrylic Drawers for some organized storage, So many little parts and boards now laying around that need proper sorting and storing to be easily found.

It takes some clever power manage for this setup, so I have mapped out how I plan to manage power by groups of devices. Given the broken older monitor buttons and hard to reach buttons that are behind drives, this just made sense to address. It will look something like this. You can see the Power Bard center front in the workspace. All the cables will get organized and hidden for the most part.

At some point one has too much Retro and I have a bit of redundancy now. I will need to sell off a few machines for my Retro Room to make sense. This will take some work to decide what to keep. I think it will look like this;

Checkmate Monitor 1 – BLACK

  • MiSTer – Mounted in Checkmate Monitor 1
  • Checkmate 1200 Plus – Hooked to Checkmate Monitor I
  • Vampire V4 Stand Alone -Hooked to Checkmate Monitor I

Checkmate Monitor II – BLACK

  • Retro Pi 5 – Mounted in Checkmate Monitor II
  • Foenix F256K and Drive – Hooked to Checkmate Monitor II
  • C 128 w/Ultimate II + Cartridge – Hooked to Checkmate Monitor II
  • 64C Reloaded Dual SID w/Ultimate II + – Cartridge Hooked to Checkmate Monitor II
  • Commander X16 in Lazer3d Case – Hooked to Checkmate Monitor II

Retro CRTs

  • 1902A Monitor – would like to be able to use this on the C64 and or C128 – may become necessary.
  • 1084 Monitor – might have to use that with the C128 rather than the checkmate due to number of devices.
  • Dell Monitor – Keep and Store since supports 15hz
  • Sony CRT = used as second screen on MiSTer

Storage

  • VIC 20 PET – Stored
  • C64 for Parts – PAL
  • Roku TV
  • Built out A1200, new case with PiStorm installed. (SPARE)
